Industries
One ERP, five engineering industries, sixteen segments
Every engineering business has its own route from drawing to dispatch. Formezy is configured around yours, from CNC machined parts to pre-engineered buildings.
ERP on the shop floor
Data captured where the work happens
The best ERP entry is the one nobody has to type later. Formezy turns shop-floor events into one live record in four steps.
- 1
Capture
Job cards, inspections and stores entries are made on mobile at the machine. Scales, weighbridges and connected machines post data directly.
- 2
Connect
Each entry joins one record that follows the part from drawing and BOM through job cards and vendors to the dispatched lot or serial number.
- 3
Control
Quality gates hold failed parts, WIP is visible by operation, and work at sub-contractors stays tracked until it comes back.
- 4
Report
Job costs, dispatch lists, inspection reports and dashboards come from the same data, and AskEzy answers questions about it in plain language.
See it mapped step by step for Automotive Components, Industrial Machinery, Fabrication, Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Job Work.
Software
Eleven modules, one database
Production, purchase, inventory, quality, finance and dispatch work on one record, so every department sees the same numbers.
Production & Purchase
Plan and run production from the BOM, issue job cards by operation, and buy exactly what the BOM and plan need.
- Multi-level BOMs and routings with drawing revisions
- Job cards, scheduling and WIP by operation
- Sub-contracting and third-party work on challans
- Purchase requisitions and orders raised from shortages
Make and buy against the same live demand.
Quality Control
Inspect at receipt, in process and before dispatch, and keep every result traceable to the lot, serial or mark number.
- Incoming, first-off, in-process and final inspection
- Quality gates that hold failed parts automatically
- Heat-number and lot traceability with certificates
- Non-conformance, rework and corrective actions
Only approved parts move on, and every report comes from data.
Machine Maintenance
Keep CNCs, presses, welding lines and cranes running with planned maintenance and a clear record of every breakdown.
- Preventive maintenance schedules by machine
- Breakdowns logged with reasons and downtime
- Spares consumption recorded against each machine
- Tool and die life tracked by strokes or pieces
More uptime, and a clear record of why machines stop.
IoT & Automation
Capture machine and test-rig data directly, so output, cycle times and downtime are recorded without manual entry.
- Cycle counts and run time from connected machines
- Furnace and process parameters logged per batch
- Test-rig readings recorded against serial numbers
- Shop-floor entries on mobile at the machine
Real machine hours, not estimates at shift end.
Weight Integration
Bring weighbridge and scale readings straight into receipts, production and dispatch for anything bought, made or billed by the kilo.
- Weighbridge weights posted to GRNs and dispatches
- Raw material, offcuts and scrap weighed by job
- Fabricated assemblies weighed for tonnage billing
- Job-work material weighed in and out by kg
Weights recorded once, at the scale, with no retyping.
Inventory
Know what is in stores, in WIP, at vendors and at site, by item code, lot, heat number or serial.
- Stock by item code, location, lot and heat number
- Barcode and QR labels for receipt, issue and dispatch
- Remnants and offcuts back in stock with size
- Customer-owned material kept separate for job work
One accurate stock figure across stores, shop and site.
CRM / Sales
Manage enquiries, estimates, quotes, orders and customer schedules, linked to the BOM and the shop floor.
- Enquiries, follow-ups and quote revisions
- Estimates built from BOMs and past jobs
- Sales orders, schedules and releases by part number
- Service calls and AMC by machine serial
Quotes based on real costs, promises based on real capacity.
Logistics & Dispatch
Plan and record dispatches by order, release or erection sequence, with documents generated from the same entry.
- Dispatch lists by mark number, lot or serial
- Invoices and e-way bills from one dispatch entry
- Loading planned by erection sequence for PEB
- Delivery status and proof of delivery
The right parts dispatched, with paperwork that matches.
Finance
Accounts, GST, costing and project profitability, posted from the transactions the plant already records.
- Accounts payable and receivable
- GST invoicing, e-way bills and multi-currency
- Job and project costing against estimates
- Banking integration and budgets by cost centre
Cost and margin known while the work is still running.
Human Resources
Attendance, payroll and skills for shop-floor and office staff, including welder and operator qualifications.
- Attendance, shifts and overtime
- Payroll and statutory deductions
- Skills and qualification records with expiry dates
- Site and service visit records on mobile
Labour cost and skills visible by person, shift and job.
Artificial Intelligence
Ask questions about your business in plain language and get answers from live ERP data with AskEzy, the AI built into Formezy.
- Plain-language questions on live production, stock, quality and sales data
- Summaries of reports, documents and operational updates
- Highlights of anomalies, overdue items and trends
- Reminders for tasks, meetings and pending approvals
Answers in seconds, without searching through modules or waiting for reports.

Questions
Engineering ERP questions, answered
Still have a question?
Talk to an engineering ERP specialist about your own shop floor and process.
What is Formezy?
Formezy is cloud ERP software for engineering manufacturers. It covers production and purchase, quality control, inventory, CRM and sales, logistics, finance, machine maintenance, HR, IoT, weight integration and artificial intelligence (AskEzy) on one platform, with engineering data such as multi-level BOMs, drawing revisions, job cards and serial numbers built in.
Which engineering industries does Formezy support?
Five: automotive components, industrial machinery, fabrication, pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and job work. Each industry has its own segments and shop-floor process flows in the software.
Does Formezy handle multi-level BOMs and drawing revisions?
Yes. Items can have BOMs to any depth, each with drawing numbers and revisions. Changes are kept as version history, and purchase and production always work to the current revision.
Can Formezy track work sent to sub-contractors and job workers?
Yes. Material sent out for machining, heat treatment, plating, painting or fabrication goes on a challan, and Formezy tracks quantity sent, received back, rejected and still pending at each vendor.
How does Formezy calculate cost per job?
Material issued, labour hours, machine time and sub-contract charges post to the job or project as they happen, so actual cost is compared with the estimate while the work is still in progress.
Is Formezy cloud-based?
Yes. Formezy is cloud ERP, so the shop floor, stores, office and site teams work on the same live data from desktop or mobile.
Where is Formezy available?
Formezy has offices in India (Ahmedabad headquarters), the UAE (Dubai) and the United States (Ohio), and supports engineering manufacturers in other countries remotely.
Which engineering industry segments does Formezy cover?
Formezy covers automotive component (machined components (CNC), sheet-metal pressings & assemblies, forged & cast components and assemblies & sub-assemblies); industrial machinery (engineer-to-order machines, standard (configure-to-order) machines and spares & after-sales service); fabrication (structural steel fabrication, process equipment (tanks, vessels, heat exchangers) and sheet-metal fabrication); PEB (primary members (built-up sections), secondary members (purlins & girts), roof & wall sheeting and accessories and site erection); job work (machining job work, surface treatment job work and fabrication job work).
